NEW RELEASE on June 11, 2008: "Treasures of the African Americans"
When I was young, racism in speech and action was deemed normal in America.
Now our speech has been edited to the point that we cannot discuss differences between the races without being accused of racism.
It is time to rise above political correctness and engage in speech that is accurate and true before God.
It IS true that there is some level of equality among the races. All people, of all races, are equal judicially before God. Sin and salvation are color blind. The principles work the same for all races. One would wish that our legal system delivered the same race-neutral equality as God’s legal system.
On the other hand, God intentionally designed the races to have widely different competencies. There are six things we have discovered so far that God designed the Black race to do better than the White race. The fact that each race is better AT SOME THINGS than the other races are, does not make them superior overall, it simply defines where their finest contribution will be to the community of races.
It is time to redeem the word “different.” The fact that the races are different does not mean one is superior to the other. It simply means that they are different. Each race needs to unpack the potential within them, and bring the fruit of their treasures to the table to enrich the surrounding races.
This teaching by Arthur Burk explores God’s unique design for the Black race and how it is superior to all other races in specific areas. It defines the challenges that are before the Black race in becoming what God designed them to be. Mostly, however, it is a celebration of the immensity of the call of God on the Black race.
If your view of the African American culture is framed and formed by the pain of history, I invite you to step up to a much higher view and to savor God’s magnificent heart toward the race that was the cradle of human history. Everyone, from every race, needs to see God’s heart for the Black race.
